Chicken 1kg
basmati rice 500g
onion 3
tomatoes 2
yogurt 200g
garlic 4 cloves
ginger 2 inch
green chili 3
mint leaves
coriander leaves
saffron strands
milk 100ml
ghee 100g
bay leaves 2
cinnamon stick 1
cardamom pods 4
cloves 4
star anise 2
salt
INSTRUCTIONS
Step1: Marinate chicken in yogurt, spices, garlic, ginger, chili for 1hr. Soak saffron in milk.
Step2: Fry onions, set aside. Layer chicken, rice, herbs, fried onions, saffron milk in a pot.
Step3: Cook covered on low heat for 40m. Serve with raita.
