INGREDIENTS

8 oz egg noodles
4 large eggs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup sour cream
3/4 cup cottage cheese
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
Extra butter for greasing the pan
Cinnamon and sugar for topping

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter.

Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, melted butter, sour cream, cottage cheese, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.

Fold the cooked noodles (and raisins, if using) into the custard mixture until well combined.

Pour the noodle mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the top with a little extra cinnamon and sugar.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.

Allow the kugel to cool slightly before serving. It can be served warm or at room temperature.
