INGREDIENTS

1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak
3 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons organic toasted sesame seeds
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon organic garlic powder
1 teaspoon organic ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon organic crushed red pepper
2 green onions, thinly sliced

INSTRUCTIONS

Place the sirloin steak in the freezer for 20 minutes to firm it up. This makes slicing easier. After chilling, cut the steak lengthwise into strips about 1/4 inch thick.

In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, toasted sesame seeds, brown sugar, water, garlic powder, ground ginger, and crushed red pepper. Place the meat in a large resealable plastic bag or a glass dish. Pour the marinade over the meat, ensuring it's well coated. Seal or cover, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.

Remove the steak from the marinade and discard any leftover marinade. Thread the steak strips onto skewers in a zig-zag fashion.

Broil or grill the skewers over medium-high heat for 6 to 8 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Be sure to turn the skewers occasionally for even cooking.
